Page do not get saved

  • OK this is first ,I have been WordPress user for many years, and have never had this happened.
    I am updating client site adding new pages and i found myself stumbled
    I can update after change pages that was there before, no problem
    However I can create new page and when I click UPDATE it gets created, but as a DRAFT.
    So I have to comeback and EDIT to make PUBLIC yet it wont let me, So i do same using QUICK EDIT it will save page.
    Problem is I need to add more content to a page, image and I cannot get it saved, UPDATE BUTTON do not work you can click and many tine as you want nothing changes.
    I clear CACHE on the site and my browsers do not change anything.
    So I am wondering if any one encounter this and did you found resolution to the issue.

  • This sounds like a buggy theme or plugin. Have you tried using the Health Check plugin? If not, try to debug using that and see what you find because when you are creating a new post the “Update” button should say “Publish”.

    Hope this gets you headed in the correct direction.
