Page featured images don’t longer show on my site.
Apparently, the only thing I have done is clearing (manually) WordPress cookies. From now on, I am unable to restore head images on pages (whereas on posts they work as usual).
    How can I trace ?
    thanks

    Hey,
I’m seeing your images show, they just are taking some time to load. What size images are you using? Have you compressed your images? This post may be helpful: https://www.kadencethemes.com/need-for-speed/

    Thanks
The images not loading are the ones linked to pages (only two: Bienvenida and Recursos, in the menu top-right). They used to work until yesterday. Images on posts are ok and show as usual.

I have reloaded images, at 72dpi and maximum width 2000. Anyway, WP splits the uploaded image into many others, and I don’t know which one is loaded in real time.

In virtue setup, Page/Post Settings, Blog Post Head Content Default is set to Image. I think this is the right setting (both for posts and pages at once)

There is no difference in behaviour using Virtue Child or Virtue

    Hello,

I’m also seeing the images load. The image size that is loaded depends on browser screen width, and the pixel density of the screen that’s viewing them.

In order to be responsive, you want different versions of the image to load on different screens. This will ensure that you always have a clear image that looks good no matter what device is viewing your site.

    Does that make sense?

Be sure that you’re using a site like this one to compress the images before you upload them to your site:
    https://compressjpeg.com/

Also be sure to use a cache plugin too. These two things are very important for site speed.

Ooops! Are you actually seeing a big hero in https://blog.datium.eu/recursos or https://blog.datium.eu/bienvenida ???? Can you confirm this?
I don’t, neither in two pc’s nor my smartphone… not even in preview mode
    No errors on server logs
I have installed Proxy Cache Purge, with no difference in behaviour

Memory usabe on server reports a 2% usage, although I don’t know if this means something or not.
    thanks

Sorry, I think I misunderstood you initially. Are you expecting the featured image to show in the head of those pages? If so, that’s not how it works with a page template.

The default page template is not designed to show the featured image. In order to show the featured image in the head content of a page, you need to use the feature template and set it to show an image:
    https://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-free/feature/

This is different than an actual post such as here:
    https://blog.datium.eu/interes-legitimo/

    Hopefully that helps!

Thanks. I didn’t know about templates.

I recreated the two pages, assiging them the Feature-Sidebar template.

    Thanks for your help

No problem! Let me know if you need any further assistance with this.
