Page ID Doesn't Work

  • I’m building a new personal site based on an existing theme — you can view the development site at: https://www.cisternmedia.com/cisternsite.

    Here’s the challenge: Every time I create a new page, the page ID always goes to the same blog page — no matter what the ID is. So if you go to my site and click on either of the buttons under the “About” dropdown — they will go to the same blog page. And every time I add a new page, it goes to that location.

    Where in the code could it be redirecting to this location, and how can I fix it?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    Ok…it’s a theme issue, but now what? I’m not even sure what I should be looking for in the code to change.
