Hi,

I take care of our main company website and our product division sites too. I use Semrush for SEO purposes and found that on one of our product division websites there are thousands of broken links.

When looking into the issue on both Semrush and GSC I found that Google Search Console is reporting pages as not being indexed, and when checking on what those are, it’s revealing the shop page with the product filters in place. I have sent this issue to WooCommerce to look into. They do not know what could be causing it and have said to ask you guys at Yoast.

I’ve never seen this issue before and do not understand how to fix it. So, if you could take a look at the issue and provide me with any advice or guidance on how to fix the issue that would be great. If you need more information then please let me know.

Alternate page with proper canonical tag: https://puzzlink.co.uk/?shop_view=list_view&taxonomy=product_shipping_class&term=2-day-delivery&filter_cat=134,133,129,136,132,135,130,131

As you can see the product filters are showing as pages which they are not.

I had a look at the URL and I’m a bit confused. Let me tell you why.

That specific page with your filters has a canonical pointing towards:

<link rel="canonical" href="https://puzzlink.co.uk/?taxonomy=product_shipping_class&term=2-day-delivery" />

This is also a strange URL – do you know if you have any custom code that does something with your permalinks? More over, even if I browse to your /shop/ page and try a filter, that behaves weird. E.g. https://puzzlink.co.uk/shop/?filter_color=goodfish-blue – if you let it load, it goes back to /shop/ without filtering.

If you don’t have any custom code, I’d recommend investigating this by doing a conflict check to see if you can find the cause of this.
