    Hi,

I’ve got a number of page indexing errors in the Google search console eg. Duplicate without user-selected canonical

Is there a fix, or a setting I’ve missed in AIOSEO?

Grateful for any help you could give.

    Thanks

    Hi @pphq,

    Thanks for reaching out.

WordPress automatically adds the canonical URL to the page source code for all your pages. All in One SEO allows you to add a customized canonical URL if needed – https://aioseo.com/docs/canonical-urls-in-all-in-one-seo/

You can?use the Inspect this URL?in GSC to see which URL Google considers canonical for that page.

Please know that this is not an error, but is working as intended because Google does not serve?duplicate pages. However, if you think that Google has chosen the wrong URL as canonical, you can?explicitly mark the canonical for this page. Alternatively, if you think that this page is not a duplicate of the Google-chosen canonical, you should ensure that the content differs substantially between the two pages.

Please let me know what you find in Google Search Console.

    Hi @pphq,

We haven’t heard back from you in a couple of days. I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!
