I apologize if this topic has already been brought up, but I couldn’t find it in the support pages.

I’ve set up a fixed position second nav menu for a specific content-rich page, and I want the links to scroll. The issue is every time I click to scroll, the page re-loads at the top and then scrolls to the id. the animation works well but It needs to scroll from the current position when clicked. is this possible?

My site is a on a local server so unfortunately I can’t link to it now but if you have any advice I’d appreciate it!

    Hello,

Sounds like you’re using the full URL in your links (since the page reloads). Make sure the links URL is exactly the same with page’s actual URL (the URL that appears in browser’s address bar). For example, https://mysite.com/page#id is not the same as https://www.mysite.com/page#id or https://mysite.com/Page#id.

Is there a cure for the reloading when linking from other pages or is that just something I have to live with?

I am having the same issue

When links point to a different URL, the browser loads a different URL. This is not a plugin issue (or an issue at all), it’s the way the theme works.

Page scroll to id enables animated page scrolling to specific id within the document. It does not modify the site layout, create pages etc. This is what themes do.

If you want a single-page layout you should install a single-page layout theme or hire some developer to create one manually.

    Hope this helps

Sorry I never replied, the solution above worked well for me, it was just a difference of pointing to “mywebsite.com/#anchor” instead of “www.mywebsite.com/#anchor” in the dashboard.

    best of luck!

@dev0ster Thanks for confirming the solution
