• My site was working fine (no jumps) – until after my site had recently undergone an advanced security audit. Plug-ins had to be re-installed, etc. Now I noticed on Safari and Chrome…when the page loads…it jumps half way down the page and is worse (jumps to end) on single post pages.

On IE and on Firefox it does not jump.

I had my web host look into the problem and at first they said:

“the problem was caused by an inconsistency in the /home/myname/public_html/wp-includes/class-http.php file.”

The problem was supposedly rectified. However, it was not. They inspected it further and said:

“your website was tested with Chrome and although the front page is loading normally, the issue persists on the single posts’ pages. We did our best to resolve it, but unfortunately to no avail. Therefore we advise you to contact a professional developer, which is familiar with the specific bugs / flaws of WordPress in more details and possesses the required programming skills to provide you with the necessary level of assistance.”

Does anyone have any idea on where to look, how to fix, or ideas on where to start to try and rectify this unsightly jumping that occurs?

I appreciate your feedback. My site is gilbertmusings.com
