Page Layout Settings are unclear and no edit field available

After activating the plugin Page Layout Builder a tab is added in the admin area with Page Layout Builder Settings, the use of it is not clear and there is no help.
When editing a page a Minimax tab is added with buttons for Export Layout, Import Layout, Clone and buttons for 1 Col, 2 Col …. 6 Col.
When pressing the Col buttons nothing happens. I am using Firefox.
