    Hello,

    For the design of the pages there are:
    -excerpt only
    -full post
    -first post full, rest as excerpts
    1) Is the design able to have half a post + excerpts? Or two half posts + excerpts like this page?: https://www.howsweeteats.com/crumbs/ (Or is this simply a different kind of design that is not currently available?)

    2) I’ve selected “excerpt only” for both the homepage as well as category/archive page, however, when I look at “Entrees”, a category in the recipe menu, the posts appear as full posts instead of excerpts, solutions? https://italicanakitchen.com/category/entrees/

    3) I would like to create a new page called “Slice of Life” that will be located next to the home page. Also, here I would like to have excerpts on the page like the homepage but when I create a “new page” I don’t see options to choose the layout. Could you direct me to where I can update this?

    Hello!

    To answer your questions:
    1) No, such layout is not possible. You could have first post half + rest excerpts. To do this you should select layout “First full” for the home page and remember to insert <!–more–> tag in the content, where you want to cut off the post.
    2) Please try switching the setting saving, then switch back and save again.
    3) Not sure what you mean here. Why do you want to create a page? Why not simply add a new category to blog, assign some posts, and then add this category to main menu? Category & Archive pages have the same layout.
