    Here is my blog: https://www.anitarundell.com/wordpress/index.php.

When I click on the page links at the top…it takes me to the index of file names/folders, instead of taking me to the page.

Same thing happens when I’m logged in as admin and click on the “view site” button after I make changes.

    Any ideas of what’s wrong?

I figured this out. I had to change the permalinks from the default to one of the other options. Now the pages work.

Well, I almost have it figured out…but no quite!

Everything works great, except for when I go to click on the “Home” page after I’ve been viewing the other pages. When I click on the “Home” it takes me to the index of file names. PLEASE HELP! ??

    Hi Anita,

I am having a similar problem except I can’t get any of my links to work. What’s funny is, I created another blog last week (I’ve since delete it) and didn’t have a problem with getting the links to work. Your testimony on your blog is very touching. I’m still wiping the tears away. If you figure out the problem let me know and I’ll do the same. Thanks..SK

    Hi Anita,

I figured out the problem. However I must say, the blog I did last week I didn’t have to do this. I just created the page and published it and the links were working but not this time for some reason. But this is what you need to do:

    Click on the design tab.
    Click on theme editor.
On the right hand side, click on Header Template.

You’ll see the html code in the editor. You have to go and add the page. The links at the top of your site will look like this:

    Home
    About

All you have to do is go in and remove the # sign and replace that with the page you want. So it would then look like this:

    Home

If you feel brave, you can even add links with the pages. If you look at my blog, you’ll see that I added a resources and a privacy link at the top of the page.

This should work for you Anita and good luck.

    My blog is at: https://www.carbuyingblog.org

For some reason this editor wouldn’t post the html code that I wrote in that last post. Let me see if this works:

    <a href="#">Home</a>

The above is what will be displayed in your editor. Just take out the # and replace it with the page you want…Like this:

    <a href="https://www.anitashomepage.com">Home</a>

Hey Scott – thank you so much for your help!!! ?? I’m kinda confused on what to put for the page links, instead of the “#”, because the pages are stored in the database…they aren’t page files that I can link too.

    Any thoughts?

And you’re so sweet in regards to my testimony. I’m honored that my life would touch yours. Blessings to you!!

    Anita
