• In the last few months I have had a major problem with the permanent page links that WOrdPress gives me when I put up a new post not linking correctly. The home page is here:
    https://www.ijamming.net/

But if you follow the link to the most recent post, at top of page, posted with up-to-date Word Press, i
    https://www.ijamming.net/?p=4390
it does not show across the various platforms I have at hand (Mac, PC, Safari, Firefox)

Categories and months (listed in sidebar) seem to be working; older links seem to be working. So what has changed recently?

    Thanks for help.

    Tony

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

I tried almost everything for a month – when I did this, i.e. deactivate all plugins I got a notification to connect to wordpress – but then tried again to add a link and it still did not work.. getting really desperate…

so far I only found two/three ways to add links – one is to add media, but no option to open in a different window

another is to use the button (either on visual or text) this does go grey i.e not clickable when I try to add a line in between an existing link and a new one I want to add.

Even if I get to insert a link through the link button, it only shows the coded line on the edit function, not when the page is viewed externally.

    Anyone?
