    Hello,

Is page navigation in My Content Management possible?

I have created a custom post type named “Staff”. I have more than 1000 staff on the list so it doesn’t seem to be a good idea to list all the staff in one page with the default shortcode. I’m looking for a way to implement my template’s page navigation into the plugin. Is it possible?

    Thank you.

It is possible – you should be able to do it by using custom template files with the archive page, modifying your normal archive theme template with standard pagination. You wouldn’t be using the shortcodes at all; just using the native implementations of pagination for archive pages.

The MCM settings page provides you with what the name of your template file should be, but it would be up to you to actually create the file and customize it as you need for your staff directory.

    Best,
    Joe

    Hi Joe,
Thank you for your fantastic plugin.
I manage to integrate the plugin with my wordpress theme navigation. But I also want to display the content of the custom post on the archive page too. Right now it doesn’t show anything. The content are custom fields.
Could you please give me a solution for that?
    Thanks.

That’s going to depend a lot on your theme: what information does your theme show on archive pages? Full content, or excerpts?
