• The link to the various pages of the portfolio “our services” on the company website doesn’t work anymore, it leads to “page not found” for all the 5 pages of the portfolio. All other pages on the website are working properly.

Could it be a problem related to the update of the version of WordPress that I cannot do because of an issue related to the PHP version? Mine is still 7.0.33 and I’m not able to download the new version (7.2.24)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Try re-saving your permalink structure at Settings > Permalinks in your Dashboard. If WordPress cannot automatically edit the .htaccess file, it will provide manual instructions after saving.

If that doesn’t fix it, the PHP version could be the problem. WordPress requires PHP 7.4 or higher.

PHP 7.0 was discontinued and stopped receiving security updates 5 years ago: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PHP#Release_history

You mention 7.2.24 being “the new version,” but that’s also not true. PHP 7.2 was discontinued and stopped receiving security updates 4 years ago.

The latest release of PHP is 8.4.4.

If your hosting provider can’t update you to at least PHP 7.4, it might be time for a new hosting provider: https://www.ads-software.com/hosting/

Your link leads to a page that should be provided by the commercial multilingual plugin WPML that you use. It’s hard for me to say why this no longer happens here. Is the Italian page for this content accessible?

I have 2 recommendations for this:

Now to the status of your website: you are using an extremely old WordPress version 5.1.19. It is still provided with security updates, but it is only a matter of time before your hosting turns off the conditions or makes their provision more expensive for you, which would then mean that your website would no longer work at all. I would therefore strongly recommend that you update WordPress and adjust the PHP version. My recommendation would be the following:

    1. Create a backup of your project (very important!).
    2. Update the PHP version in your hosting to 7.4. Contact your host’s support if you need help with this.
    3. As soon as PHP 7.4 is running, update WordPress to the current version 6.7.2.
    4. Then update all plugins and your theme.
    5. Then set PHP to version 8.1 in your hosting.

If you need help with this, you may find it here: https://jobs.wordpress.net or at a WordPress agency near you.
