Page not found after changing permalink

    I am new to WordPress. The site was designed by a web designer. I tried changing some of the SEO thinks like meta description, keywords, title name, etc. Things worked fine for most pages: areas of business, etc.

    However, we have four “profiles” of four employees. There is a main page that shows the four employees and their names. Changing some of the SEO settings/terms on this page was fine like the others above.

    On this page, though, you can click on a picture of each employee, and that click takes you to their individual profile: bio, picture, activities, etc.

    I had gone through each individual page and changed the SEO things, including URL, to get SEO light color to green. Unlike the other pages, though, these pages now show up as 404 not found on-line.

    I’ve started looking through help but am very new to all this.

    Any suggestions on where to start to figure out how to fix this?

    Due to permalink change .htaccess rewrite rules might be corrupted. As a workaround rename current .htaccess file to .htaccess.bak and create a new one with the following contents.

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
    </IfModule>

    Hi,

    If you changed the URL of each page,
    maybe you should also change the link of each individual image.
    (I understood that when you click on an image, it leads to a 404′ page.)
