Page Not Found This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?
-
Dear support team,
I have the issue on all my pages that if I use the link to the page the page appears only now and then. One time the page is found and sometimes the page is not found and giving me the error:
Not Found
This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?Screenshots
page not found > https://www.screencast.com/t/jEmgxETJc
page found > https://www.screencast.com/t/vRRbsGeSpqSolving steps:
I have several times reset the permalink settings but still the problem is not solved.I guess it has to do that sometimes the end slash / is not resolving within the used url. Usually, nobody would use an end slash while implementation to open a page that is why the end slash is missing on the link input approach i.e. https://www.worldcheckin.com/about ,
BUT if I use with the end slash https://www.worldcheckin.com/about/ the page is loading.Am I missing an option maybe in need to set within the wp-config.php
My setting is:/** Absolute path to the WordPress directory. */
if ( !defined(‘ABSPATH’) )
define(‘ABSPATH’, dirname(__FILE__) . ‘/’);
define(‘WP_TEMP_DIR’, ABSPATH . ‘wp-content/TEMP’);
define(‘WP_CONTENT_DIR’, ABSPATH . ‘wp-content’);Maybe after the upgrade of WordPress this setting within wp-config.php is not needed anymore?
I have this problem since upgrade to WP vers 5.6Please help to find out, why this happens and how to solve that issue.
Best regards, Alex
