  • Hi,
looks like your category/news/ which works has a query that shows 8 posts, while category/features/ shows only 5 posts.
So could be either you made a different query for your others categories, or that something on pagenavi settings menu could be checked. Seems strange that with the same category template are pulled different number of posts, unless category features or review have only 5 posts assigned.

There is a blog post by Scribu about using wp_pagenavi() with custom queries if this may be your case.

Try also to reset permalinks if you made some changes to your templates.

hope it may help you, cheers!

Yes, I use custom queries via WP_Query and the only difference in either category is the number of posts called. But I’ve tried to interchange the number between the 2 categories and the category/news/ still works while the category/features/ doesn’t.

I also don’t find any settings on wp-pagenavi that refers to number of posts per page. I’ve also tried to use the updated code found in Scribu’s post and the problem still persists.

Update: I found a weird fix. Changing the “Blog pages show at most” option in the “Reading” settings of WordPress to 5 instead of 8 fixes the problem. Don’t know how that has anything to do with my category pages or pagination since I use custom queries.

Thanks for the update, I had the exact same issue and your fix worked for me as well.
