Page Numbers not working on homepage

Hi all,

I’m hoping to get some help. I noticed that the “next” button and page numbers aren’t working on the homepage. When I hover over the page numbers it is trying to link to /page/2 etc, but I have permalinks set up to include the index.php/post-name.

I’ve noticed when I add index.php to the url, the page then works. Is it possible to have the theme use the post-name format for permalinks?
