Page of posts – including excerpt text

    Hello,

    I’m hoping this is a simple solution, I have searched but can’t seem to find it …

    I have created a page template to be used as a page of posts for a CMS style site.

    It’s working perfectly with the use of a custom field to determine which categories to display, but I would also like to have a description of the page above the posts.

    I was hoping to either add the description in the text editor of the page, or use the excerpt field to add the description.

    Can someone point me in the right direction .

    Nevermind ??

    I found the solution … first I realized the pages don’t have an excerpt, so I just took the code from a default page.php file and added it in front of the code to pull in the posts.
