I’ve searched and searched and searched until I can’t search anymore. Can someone please help me…

I have some .php pages created on my website and I would love to make them part of wordpress pages so that it is easier to edit them without having to open my FTP and edit the files that way.

I wanted to make the pages appear like they were the .php pages I already have and have a permalink structure like url.com/pagename.php

I do NOT want to change my permalink structure for my posts – only for the pages!

I’ve tried a lot of things, but I only get “?page_id=996” for the url.

BASICALLY, how do I get my PAGES to show up as “pagename.php” and still have my POSTS show up as “?p=#”?

  • You won’t. There is no “selective” nice permalinks. Anyway, even if you decide to go with nice permalinks, you can NOT add .php (or any other extension) to Pages.

i don’t believe that. There is a plugin to add .html to pages. By simply changing the coding for that plugin, I can make it add .php instead.

To get it to work, I do have to change my permalink structure for both pages and posts. If there was a way to only do it for pages, my problem would be solved.

Ok i got it to work… I didn’t know that even if you do change the stucture of the posts, you can still access them through the default “?p=#” or the new structure.

I changed my structure to Custom: /%postname% so that my pages would show up as url.com/pagename

I installed this plugin, opened it in the plugin editor and changed every “.html” to “.php” so that my pages would NOW look like url.com/pagename.php

It all works fine for me and I cannot wait to start implementing this into the rest of my website.

    Hey there
I was just wondering if i could have the code u used in the plugin editor
I’m having the same problem. Also I only wanted to do it to one page.
    Any Ideas?
