  • Out of the box, POSTS can be categorized but PAGES can not.

If your posts can be categorized, you can show all posts sorted by category easily.

Let’s say your posts can have category Movies, Books or TV.

To list all posts from the Movies category, you can just go to https://yoursite.com/category/movies
To list all posts from the Books category, you can just go to https://yoursite.com/category/books

    And so on.

    Is that what you meant?

That does sound great but the problem I ran into was that posts cant be added as menu items, which these pages need to be.

    Thanks

Do you want individual pages added to your menu, or a list of categories (for posts)?

You can add any custom URL to a WordPress menu, actually. In the menu editor, under the Pages section, there is a section called Links where you would be able to add a link to /category/movies or anything else you want.
