• I just spent three hours writing copy on a PAGE instead of a post. When I pull up the main page, I see NOTHING! I guess I should have POSTED instead of making a page. I’m lost on the hierarchy issues associated with wp. How do I get the page to display on the opening or main page of the site? No other posts are there and the page is hidden somewhere where it’s invisible. Looks very bad.

OK thanks coach, I found the setting under an obscure admin setting called reading. Knew I’d seen it somewhere but could not find it.

as there’s no way to change the existing page into a static page

Did you read the page at the link I posted above? Are you sure you do know the difference between a WordPress Page and a WordPress Post?

Pages, posts, categories are confusing…I’m trying to understand layout processes and get the seo to work. Naming a page Home doesn’t work for seo…the all important reason to use a blog.

    Thanks again.

Who said that you had to title the front page “Home”? You can use any title that you want.
