Page Schedule Issue

Hey,

I wanted to make my homepage — with some content that was only gonna show up for one day — to change to the updated page that removes the content. So I removed the content in the editor and went to the edit button of “Publish Immediately” and changed the date and time to 1min past midnight of the next day and hit “Schedule”. When I previewed the change, it showed the updated page! I thought being logged in as admin, it would be just an admin thing, so I opened another browser and went to the page and it’s currently “404 Error”. So do I assume that “scheduling” isn’t what I think it is? Is there something I can change or must I use a plugin to do scheduled changes?
