page-shippou–great theme but need to increase title font sizes

  • I just switched to the page-shippou which I really like–looks good and seems to function without glitches which so many themes have. But…the font size on the post and page titles and the blog title itself are too small, hard to read. How can I make them bigger? Also there was a ribbon gif in the header that I got rid of but it still seems to be there when I type the url in my browser. The gif is no longer in the theme image files, so I can’t figure out how it is still there. How do I get rid of it?

  • What browser are you using? And what size default text in that browser? That theme uses a proportional font size – which means that the size of the text is directly based on the size of your default browser font.

    I also can’t see any “ribbon”.

    I’m using Firefox. When I type in the url in the browser, that is where I see the ribbon, not on the site itself. Something to do with meta-tags maybe?

    Also, the ‘ribbon’ (I don’t know what else to call it) is red and to the left of the website url in the browser window, I guess maybe icon would be a better description.

    The site’s favicon. If you removed the favicon file recently, it may take a little while for your browser to catch up and being displaying the default icon. If you bookmarked the site, deleting the bookmark and then re-bookmarking the site might help. For what it’s worth, I can’t see a favicon when I view the site.

    I just checked it on a different puter and sure enough, no favicon. Thanks for the reality check! I’m guessing from what you said, the font sizes aren’t changeable? I checked them out with different browsers and they do vary, but the post titles would definitely benefit by being bigger. But if that is all that is wrong with this theme, no complaints, some of the others are very messed up. Thanks again for all your help, I’ve tried posting these kinds of queries in the themes forum and I don’t know who is moderating that, but the replies are useless, if I get them at all.
