• I created a page and it’s been there for at least a week or so (created about a month ago but haven’t checked on it) and tonight I went to show the client and all I get is Not Found.

If I change the permalink, I get the new page to come up just fine but if I change it back to the original link, not found.

If I change my permalink settings back to the old default of post ID, the page comes right up. Something doesn’t like this exact link name and I can’t change it because I just spent a month sending backlinks to it.

I also went into the DB and deleted ALL entries that exactly matched my permalink and page. I then added the page again and when I hit Preview Page, she’s there but when I publish and go the to link, not found.

I have also disabled all plugins and still nothing.

Any ideas and or help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve never seen anything like this.

    Thank you!
    Jeremy

Go to Admin Dashboard>Pages>All pages>Hover over the title of this page>Quick Edit>review what the current page ‘slug” is. That is what needs to be appended to the domain so it’s
    //https://domain.com/page-slug
If you already created a page with that slug the new slug will be suffixed -2, -3 etc.
Also make sure the old page is not in trash prior to re-creating it and check what parent page is used if any.
Note: the slug can be any slug not already used, such as ‘hardfloor-atl’

    Hi Swanson,

Hovering over quick edit doesn’t give you the slug. Hovering over ‘view’ shows the slug. With all due respect, I’m well aware of how the DB treats slugs in this respect and understand I need to delete it from the trash before trying to create it again.

As I mentioned in my original post.. I have already attempted to completely trash this slug and remove anything in the DB I could think of that would be associated with this slug. I have 30 days of links already pointing at it and would hate to create a new page under a different name.

    Thank you

No one? No one has seen this issue?

I had this issue with a post.

Changed slug and all was fine.

NOTE: I changed it back to the original non-working slug and it didn’t work again. I then changed it again and all was fine. I cannot use the original slug for anything or it shows as “Page Not Found”
