I got a problem where single pages are displayed with a narrow width content box first time it loads up. Loading any other page makes the display show a correct wide width. While it’s showing a narrow width, it also shows the page title which is disabled in the settings.

The site is an adult product (cloth, toys) site, so a fair NSFW warning right off the bat.

This is what it’s supposed to look like
    https://prnt.sc/pehiCLDLwwr8

No dublicated title, 5 images side by side. It’s a third party product feed, and the content boxes are from Elementor.

    This is the broken view
    https://prnt.sc/xCyLRDbHD7vQ

I got the content box set to full width in the blocksy settings and title disabled, yet they load those on the first view.

I am lost. Someone who can help? ??

  • Hello @peowdie

Looking at the link you’ve submitted, it seems that this is actually a post, not a page. You can control posts from the Customiser -> Single Posts section. Probably you’ve missed those options there.

Can you give this a go?

Also, something a bit unrelated. I’m not sure why would you make these as posts? Wouldn’t they better fit the pages category directly?

    Thanks.

@cteduard I can give it a shot absolutely, but looking at the backend here, it should very well be a ‘page’, not a post. https://prnt.sc/62zhs4pBEAXg ??

If I go to the customiser and hit the post settings, nothing changes on the individula pages either. It does however if I mess with the ‘page’ settings, but those are already as they ought to be. https://prnt.sc/V0sxAO_nlVvH

    Hello @peowdie

These are two separate things, I’m afraid.

Here’s the actual URL of this last screenshot that you’ve posted — https://omy.dk/kvinder/lingeri/

The one from the initial post is a post, not a page. The one above is a page. ??
I think you got confused a bit and created the same layout under the posts section as well.

    Thanks.

Color me confused. All of the pages are made in the pages section of wordpress, and they respond alright to changes in the customiser backend on page type. I do slap it all up using an elementor template, but that as well is designated type ‘page’.

    Hey @peowdie

    Let’s recap.

The link you’ve initially submitted — https://omy.dk/lingeri — is from a post. These have separate settings under the Customiser and do not inherit the ones from pages.

Then, you’ve replied with a screenshot that shows the pages section of your dashboard, which shows the page you’re speaking of as a direct child of “Kvinder”. So, I took a guess and made up the following URL — https://omy.dk/kvinder/lingeri/, which is the page that you’re speaking of. This will be affected by the pages section of the Customiser and I can already see the changes applied to it.

Does this make more sense? ??

    @cteduard

Yea, it makes a bunch of sense in that regard. The /lingeri was a mistake on my end, as it was indeed supposed to be /kvinder/lingeri, but this just opened up another thing on my end to fix: No /lingeri, this just begs for duplicate content.

Actually this proves the error was on my end all the time: I forgot the link structure when I was testing things out.

Time to find out how to redirect to the correct sub page when I mess up again ??

Thanks man, I really appreciate it.

No worries, @peowdie. Glad we’re on the same page now.
