• I’m trying to create a template for staff members. I need a way to insert a different photo for each staff member. Each member also provides their own set of services. I’m using the Financeo theme. What is the best way to accomplish this?

Similarly, for the services, each one has a different photo representation on the home page, and I need to create a separate page for each service with an explanation and definition.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

Do you mean you want to have different page dedicated for each staff member? or the one similar to what you already did on your site?

So, I will make you two different video showing how you can make a a page and showing it on the site. And the other one for making a template pattern.

If you still have any question, please let me know.

First, thank you for the videos. The first explained something I wasn’t aware of.

But to my situation, I’ve been using customized templates. Typically, a template means you create it once and then use it repeatedly. But with Gutenverse templates, there doesn’t seem to be a “replaceable photo” option for a template. Maybe I’m doing things all wrong, But I need to have the same look and functionality on each displaying page, but with a different photo and text, identical to what you did with pages.

Look at how I did it for the counselors. I had to create a separate template for each individual page, in order for it to come out right. I know that’s the long way to do it. But now I need to do something similar for the Services. I don’t need a huge stock photo, just the little one that’s on the front page (some of these are getting changed).

Isn’t there a way to create just the framework as a template, and then when you’re designing a custom page using that template, you just click to fill the photo and then enter the text for that particular page?

    Hi @prairierayne

Thank you for explaining to me more, now I understand what you trying to achieve.

Yes, you can do that! if you make a template in the editor it will be the same and not customizable for all the pages. You esentially still need to edit the page content itself. But, by creating a pattern (as shown in the second video in the last reply) and putting page content inside the template it will work. Let me show you how to do it in a video.

    note:

    1. Make sure you disable synced when you are making a pattern so it can be different for each page.
    2. When making a page you will have some information such as author, title, and content. You can put it in the template like I did for the post content.
