Page templates dropdown disappear

Hi! I was developing a website with a theme I bought and I don’t know how but the page template dropdown from the page editor disappeared. It is just being shown the parent and the order options.
Do you know what could have provoked this?
I contacted the theme developers, I’m still waiting for their answer but in the meantime, I was doing a test: I made another installation in my localhost (the one with the problem is already in the production server) and installed the theme. It was working fine, then I upgraded to WordPress 5.1 (because the original one was updated to this version a few days ago and I thought this could be the problem), but everything kept working ok. The problem came up when I copied the database from the original site into the one on my localhost. That’s when the option disappeared too.

I have no idea where to start looking because I have done a lot of progress in the site and I don’t know if some of the changes I made could have provoked this issue.

Any advice will be appreciated. I’m a developer, so I don’t mind going into the database to look for something or the code, but give me a point to start.
