    hi

how can i make the page’s seo tile to be different than the page tile?

for example: my pages title is “how to train dogs to sit”
but i want the seo title to be; <title>train dogs</title>

i currently get the full page’s title as seo title, and also the domain name.

how do i remove the site’s domain name from the the seo title?
    i just want <title>train dogs</title>

    thanks

  • Hi,

You can change the title by editing the SEO Title in the Yoast Metabox. This video explains more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgoV_t1URzk&feature=youtu.be.

When that happens you can expect the title to change for the page.

However, if you wanted to change it globally (rather than having to go to each page and manually changing it) you may need to edit the titles and metas by going to SEO->Titles and Metas->Post Types->Page and then locating the Title field. Within that field you may see template variables such as %%sitename%%. You may need to remove/add those template variables in order to set it globally for all pages. This guide explains more about template variables: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/yoast-wordpress-seo-titles-metas-template-variables/. You would need to experiment to see which template variables give you the best global output for your needs.
