Page Title and Meta Description Replaced With number/false

    I have been experiencing a weird sporadic issue with Page Titles and Meta Descriptions and wondered if anyone has seen anything similar. I think it’s theme related (custom) but I have been through and stripped out everything that has anything to do with page titles so it may be a plugin.

    The page title is being replaced by a number. It is often 60 or 40 or something like that which appears to also be the Flesch reading ease score for the page. The Meta description is sometimes replace by the word ‘false’.

    This does not happen on every page save, just occasionally.

    I have found no reference to anything similar by searching google, stack exchange etc.

    That sounds odd, we haven’t seen that before. We believe this might indeed be a plugin or your theme that conflicts with Yoast SEO. We’re afraid to tell you that troubleshooting custom code or your own theme is beyond the scope of support we can give you here.

    If you see this happening for any post or page, we would like to suggest switching to a default theme (temporarily) and see if the issue persists. If it does, you can do a conflict check too to find the culprit. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the input @jeroenrotty It just happened on another page. Page title replaced with -2797 meta description reads as 0.

    If I could make some relationship to the number with some other data it might help but It doesn’t seem to relate to anything obvious in this case.

    @andy_woz We aren’t sure what the relationship between those values and the meta description/title would be. Our plugin does allow the use of template variables that allow you to replace the title/meta description. We have a list of which variables are available for use at the following link: https://yoast.com/help/list-available-snippet-variables-yoast-seo/

    We aren’t sure if you possibly have another plugin or the theme is somehow sending the plugin the value through a variable.
