The title of at least one of my pages is being cropped for no apparent reason.

In the editor, it appears as: Based on The Score: Mise à Sac (“Pillaged”) (1967)

On the page, it appears as: Based on The Score: Mise à Sac (

Any ideas what could be causing this?

  • My guess is that it’s the double quotes in the original title. Try using:
The Score: Mise à Sac (&# 34;Pillaged&# 34;) (1967)without the space between & and # – as the post title.

& #34 (again without the space between & and # ) is the ASCII code for double quotes.

Thank you. I gave that a shot. Unfortunately it didn’t work.

Even more unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to matter what I change the title of the page to!

I changed the title of the page to “Test Test Test.” Now when you go to the page, “Test Test Test” appears at the top of the browser as the page title, but the title I am trying to change remains the same even though that text is no longer there.

I have checked this in both Firefox and Internet Explorer. Very strange.

Here is the page again: https://violentworldofparker.com/?page_id=561

Now I tested that fix on one of my WP installs and it worked fine. Perhaps the Atahualpa theme is doing something funky with the title? Can you drop a copy of page.php into the WordPress pastebin?

I hope this is what you are looking for. Are there multiple page.php files or just one? This is the one I found.

    Thanks again!

That’s not the right file. It should be the page.php template file from your theme.

Atahualpa does not seem to have a page.php file.

It has the following .php files. Could one of these be it?

      comments-paged.php
      comments.php
      css.php
      footer.php
      functions.php
      header.php
      index.php
      js.php
      legacy.comments.php
      searchform.php

I gave up, created a new page with the same HTML, and deleted the old one. It was a pain updating the links, but it worked.

The images I uplaod to the gallery are not recognised. I changed the file type to jpeg but it still doesn’t show. Any suggestions?
