Page title with “?????? ??????” gets converted to “?????? ’bout??”

  • I have installed WordPress is Nepali language and when I create a page titled “?????? ??????” (About Us) it converts it to “?????? ’bout??”. I have different posts and page in Nepali title but they work without any issue. I have already tried different themes including stock one but it didn’t help either.

    I have someone can help me out here.

    Since it seems to be a one off problem, you should try patching the page title directly in the database. Access the DB through phpMyAdmin. If you are using XAMPP or similar, click the Admin button for the database module in the control panel.

    Locate the page in the posts table. Be sure it is the row where the status field is “publish”. Click the edit link for that row and fix the title field as required. Click Go. Hopefully it’ll stay that way.

    I check the database and it is as it should be showing in the database. When I edit the specific page table using phpmyadmin it show the title as “?????? ??????”

    Do you have any kind of multilingual plugin active? It could be suspect. In any case, a plugin is a likely suspect. Narrow down the source by deactivating all plugins. You should see the correct title. Restore each plugin, one at a time until the problem recurs. The last activated plugin is the cause. Take up the issue with the responsible author.

    no, I do not have any multilingual plugin installed. I tried with fresh installation without any plugins and it still turns “?????? ??????” into “?????? ’bout??”
