Page title wont appear in header area on blog summary page

Try going to Theme Options> Page Settings, and find “Display page title by default.”

Set that to ON, and the title should then show on your blog page.

Kevin, Thanks for the response. The setting was set to on. I tried switching it to off and then back on again but without success. Its strange as this is the only page affected in this way. Further thoughts?

Yes, I cleared the browser cache but it dint help. I know that my host also has the cache turned off during the development of the site and until I ask for it to be turned back on.

In Settings > Reading do you have a page set as your post page? That needs to be left blank.

When I leave the post page blank in the reading settings it clears the blog posts from the summary page which now shows blank but still with no header background or title.

Be sure that you’re assigning the page to use the Blog template under page attributes.

Hi,

THanks for the input. I’ve manged to work my way round the ptoblem by opening a new page and assigning it as the posts page in the reading settings section. This seemed to work for some reason.
