You could have a look on this:

On each page, in “Option de structure” (~”structure option”) there is the choice beetween:
Structure par défaut (mentionne ce que vous aviez choisi par défaut)
Barre latérale gauche
Barre latérale droite
Deux barres : droite et gauche
Pas de barres latérales : pleine largeur.

In english:
Structure option
Default structure (mention what you had chosen by default)
Left sidebar
Right sidebar
Two bars: right and left
No side bars: full width.

Then, you can modify Default structure of Home page and other pages:
Apparence / Personnaliser / Disposition des pages&articles / Régler la structure de la page d’accueil + Choisir la structure globale par défaut.
~ Appearance / Personalize / Layout of pages & articles / Set the structure of the home page + Choose the default global structure.
