Page width problem with only one page! Confused

    Hi,
    I a newbie here and after making some alteration on twenty eleven I read about doing the child them which now I did (But with some alterations already modified). However if you see my website https://www.conectsbetting.com the contact us page is not same as the rest. Its using the same template with side bar as all the rest. Whenever I try to insert a widget in right sidebar it does not display.

    Another thing, I noted that on widget dashboard whenever I give a title to a new text widget, the text title used to be displayed. now it does not come displayed in dashboard. Any suggestions? BTW Im using the latest version of twenty eleven.

    nope; right now, it is using the default page template.

    alchmyth you right as I was experimenting with all possibilities. Now is on side bar as you can see the result. Still not as wide as the other and widget is a problem. Just out of curiosity how do you know which template am i using? Does firebug give you this as well or you need special software. Just curiosity..

    Twenty Eleven uses body_class() which adds page and template specific css classes;

    I actually use firefox’ web developer add-on more than Firebug …

    possibly the floating etc in the new styles for the formatting of #main, #primary, and #secondary could have stopped the #main div to expand fully (?)

    if you add some content to the textwidget on the contact page, it might expand.

    or reconsider the formatting…

    I did insert a textwidget but same result. Funny enough if you see the website again now, I have activated the twenty eleven template (Not the child) and the contact page is fine. Im confused. Doesn’t the child inherit the files automatically.
    I downloaded firbug to maybe identify the problem but I will soon probably re install the theme from fresh and start a child from the start as probably the problem started there. This I find strange as on child them instructions it says that important to copy style.css but I needed to modify other files so next time I will copy all files to be modified in child theme.

    I noticed that I had a custom css in twenty eleven and t wasnt being used on the child… dahh… How did I miss that!!

    This is weird…
    I switched back to the child and the contact page came perfect!!
    Switching from the main theme to the child seems to be fixing things. Though cannot understand why. But hey.. problem solved without formatting.
