%page_title% or %post_title% are not working in post title field

I don’t know what you’re trying to say. Can you please phrase it differently? Please be specific about the expected behavior, and the actual behavior.
Screenshots would help as well.

Post title is ever, in my wordpress, a town name (example: Chicago)
I want to automaticly generate a meta title like:
“Are you from Chicago ? Read here…”

If i used pages, i get no problem in achieveing this typing in “Post Title Format” setting: “Are you from %page_title% ? Read here…”

In this case, if the post title is “Chicago”, then i’ll be able to read in page’s meta-title “Are you from Chicago ? Read here…” ; if post’s title is Miami, then the meta title will be “Are you from Miami ? Read here…”

But, i’m not able to reach the same results using posts. How can i do?

What i’m trying to explain is that, as per the title of my request, %page_title% or %post_title% are not working in POST title field. Check these screensshot i made after disabling every other plugin but all in one seo pack and i looked into a POST source code.

Instead, if i work with pages, everything is working fine, i’m able to recall the page’s title there. This is not happeniong for posts.

%post_title% in the post format definitely works. It looks like there’s something specific to your site interferring.
