paged categories help

  • hello!
    that’s hopefully my last question, i promise ??

    i am using the static-fontpage plugin, and the redirect plugin that is redirecting me to /?cat=2 when i’m clicking on “blog”.

    but then, all of the postings from that category appear, which seems to be the sense of an archive page… BUT i want it to be paged!

    i searched this site for hours now, found dozends of threads, but i just didn’t find a good solution.

    i just don’t get it.

    how can i show only this one category AND make it paged?

    posting only the pagenav-tag doesn’t work, it gives me 404 when i klick it.

  • You probably want to write these as PAGES not POSTS, as im gathering your using POST because of catagory. Pages have parents not catagories. That or you can set options >> reading, and limit the number of posts listed on a page.

    In 1.5, an archive page should be set to display the # of post/days set under Options > Reading.

    That is, unless you’re using a plugin to override the posts-per-page functionality:

    Don’t know how well that would work in conjunction with the static front page plugin et al.

    well but none of them work, i already tried these for hours!

    i want the simple possibility to show my category #2, show 14 days, and then have the nice navigation on the bottom to go foreward or backward.

    i just simply cant figure out how to do that.
