    Hi,

i am currently optimizing my new page. I have installed your plugin and it looks that PageInsight is working fine for Desktop but showing issues on Mobile. Telling me that the Picture format must be improved.

However, when running the same tests through Chrome with Dev Tools in an Incognito session it’s not showing this problem.

I have already recreated ALL images in All locations. When checking is WebP is running through DEV Tools it looks ok.
I have right now no clue how to solve this pageinsight issue with WebP, any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi @rkttrd,

    Thank you for your message.

The plugin seems to be working fine. Pictures are loaded in WebP format with the exception of 3 images. You are using Pass Thru mode and it doesn’t work for images with URLs in CSS code – it works for images with URLs in HTML.

If you want full WebP support then use the via .htaccess mode.

    Best,
    Mateusz

    Hi Mateusz,

wow, thanks for your fast response!

Correct, i have used the passthrough as i get this Error for .htaccess mode:

“Change the server settings to stop ignoring the rules from the .htaccess file.”

Where do i have to make a change and what do i need to change to get this working? Hopefully you have a hint for me ??

    Thanks
