PageLines Platform (free) and Formatting Plugins Not Working

  • Hi All,

    I am new to the WordPress game, and am a complete amateur when it comes to CSS/HTML etc (I’m from a design background, not computers!)

    I am using PageLines (free version) to create an online magazine. I have tried other magazine type templates, but felt they were too restricted.

    Anyway, I have downloaded the following plugins to customise my site
    Easy Columns
    Feature Slideshow
    Post UI Tabs

    They appear in my settings list, and although I have set the settings for all three plugins, they are not displaying on my home page.

    Can someone please explain to me what I have missed, or tell me what else I should do?

    My website looks like an ordinary blog, and it’s not supposed to!

  • Easy Columns doesn’t automatically format content into columns, but instead allows you to add columns in your content.

    For instance, you can create 3 columns in a page that showcase a products features, or insert a single column of testimonials or quotes.

    If you’re looking for a magazine style layout, then you’ll want to look at some themes that offer “teaser” or grid layouts on the main blog page.
