PageNavi not working on Draft / Scheduled Posts

Have a client that uses this plugin and has mentioned that the navigation isn’t working on Previews of Draft or Scheduled (Future) posts. I tested this out on two sites and was able to reproduce the issue. This may be something to do with changes to WordPress as I just upgraded him from 3.9.3 to 4.3.1 over the past weekend. He also is running a different page navigation type plugin I’d written for him and that broke too.
When previewing a page the url is using the p=post_id format as opposed to the date-based permalink on a published post. I think this may play into it. I updated my plugin to check for status and if it is a draft or future (scheduled) post I changed how I was defining the next page to use “&page=2″…
Example:
Page 1 URL: https://website.com/?p=45400&preview=true&preview_id=45400&preview_nonce=59abaa7484

Clicking the link doesn’t advance to page 2 but remains on page 1.
Your plugin does work fine, and as before, on a published post. Thoughts?
