• I am suddenly unable to edit or create pages that contain a lot of information. Ten days ago I could edit these pages; during that time I have not changed anything on the server. When I go to edit a large page (lots of text and images), I get an error – unable to open wp-admin/pages.php. Firefox shows no error but tries to download a blank file named page.php. I have a small page with a couple lines of text and that I can edit. I can also create a small page, but I can’t copy over code from an uneditable page and create a new one with that code.

Anyone have a similiar problem? Any idea how to correct this?

    Try a different browser.

I’ve tried all the major browsers.

I am encountering a similar problem; I cannot edit a long page, either. Only, in my case, WordPress appears to let me edit this page. Yet, when I go to save it, I get a blank “page.php” screen. (Other, smaller pages can be edited with no problems.) I’ve tried this in Flock, Safari (Windows), and IE so far; the latter gives me a 406 error (“not acceptable”).

The last time I was able to edit the page successfully was two months ago. Should I delete the page and start over again? Or is there a way to remedy this so I won’t have to?

PS: I am using the current version of WordPress.
