Pages and Categories

    I am running a non-profit site and I am trying to set it up so that across the top where it lists my pages I want one to be Events second to be Outreach and third to be Agenda’s and Minutes.

    I have it set up so when an “author” signs in and posts to the event category when someone clicks on the Event at the top of the main page I would like it to goto the event page and display x amount of event posts.

    same with outreach when someone posts to the outreach category it displays to the outreach page.

    I have found the plug in category pages and it lists title only. I would like to have titles and excerpt listed.

    I know I can use a widget on a side bar but I am trying to make it neater by using the nav bar at the top.
