Pages and forms

I’m trying to create a form on my About Page. A simple name, email, comment form with a submit button.

I can’t for the life of me get it to work for me. I go to Manage, Pages, Edit (the Page already exists). But it seems the editor doesn’t like the textarea tag at all. I looked at the source of the wordpress page (the one where you edit your Page) and the text editor on the page is a textarea tag. So, when I add a textarea tag to my form it confuses the editor.

Does anyone have any insight on how to properly create a form on an existing Page?
