Pages and Forms are missing (4.2.4 Update Problem)

    All my pages at backend are missing, but at frontend they are all there (messy but at least, they are there). Also, my contact forms 7 disappeared (I tried to create a new form, and even I create it successfully, it is not showing up).
    In the Pages, I cannot see them but it says I have 15 pages published.

    I thought I did something wrong, but I did nothing in the php files and I just found out the update is automatic, so I really think it is an update problem.

    I tried to re-install, but didn’t work.
    I don’t know what to do.
    May I have some help, please ?

  • I had same thing happen on two sites, two different servers after downloading 4.2.4 from www.ads-software.com. All the pages actually ended up inside the posts list, so check there. That shouldn’t happen.

    After uploading the files and logging into WordPress, there were strange messages about WordPress being very outdated (3.5 and 3.7).

    Anyway, something is very wrong with this update.

    I installed 4.2.4 yesterday and the following occurred:
    – I become an invalid user (my username ceased to exist)
    – All blog posts disappeared completely
    – All photos & media uploaded to my site subsequent to Sept 2014 have disappeared and are no longer available in the Media files
    – Forms have disappeared (Contact form 7 plugin)
    – Events calendar content has disappeared (The Events Calendar plugin)

    I gained access to the site this morning using another Administrator’s login details and my username has completely gone. I am using the Hueman theme and a few plugins. I have tried to de-activate some plugins to see if there is conflict…but doesn’t seem to be the case. I also tried to switch themes (to WP 2014) but that didn’tmagically fix anything.

    I am a novice wordpress user and my site is now a mess with missing content. I would like to restore the blogs and I am hoping/presuming they are backed-up somewhere??

    Any assistance very much appreciated.

    I’m having a similar problem since upgrading, my site has gone pear shaped, my photo uploaded dosent work properly, my Facebook link is missing along with loads of other problems, how do I get the older version back?

    HI everyone!

    So, my problem is now fixed.
    ingridkr, try to contact your hosting company and ask them to restore your backup. My hosting company (site5) is awesome and they make daily backups for me (30 days) so I can ask them to restore.

    OR, go to your phpMyAdmin and click on repair tables (with all plugins deactived). It worked for me!

    I did both, actually. First I tried to restore my website to one day before the update, then I did repair the database tables via phpMyAdmin
