• Please help! I was creating a new version of my site in a subdirectory of my old site, and then when ready trying to move it to replace the old site following https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Moving_WordPress. In the process, I suspected that I made an error and was trying to go back to the way things were. In any case, now my old site works fine, and I can access admin of the new site and posts appear, but all the pages are blank. I figured out how to see the wp_posts table in phpMyAdmin, and the pages seem to still exist, with post_type as page, and post_status as published. What else could I check on to try to fix this? Thanks!!!

  • Have your cleared your browser cache and flushed dns? Browsers get confused when the url/ip address change.

I had tried clearing the cache.
I realized that this wasn’t my only problem…although I could get into the admin for the site, there many things it wouldn’t let me do, like view my widgets, and typing text in new posts and pages was oddly invisible. Instead of trying to repair it, I just set up a new wordpress installation in a new directory and imported my content. So I’m ok now. Thanks…
