Pages become Posts

    I hope someone can help me with this…

    When I add a new “page” from the admin area and then go to the “manage pages”, my page is not there.

    I then go to the main site and the page and the page I have just added is the latest post!

    I have a page.php and permalinks are enabled.

    Does anyone have any ideas what my problem is?

  • There is a bug – I forget the precise sequence but you can click “Write page” but the “Write Post” screen comes up instead. It has been reported so hopefully a fix will be out.

    If you do this again, check carefully – by clicking more than once on the Write Page tab – that it really is the correct screen.

    Thanks for the suggestion but I found the answer :

    My wp_posts.post_status table column did not have a ‘static’ enumeration.

    Once I added that to the list it worked fine.
