Pages disappear when adding new ones

  • Hi,
    I’ve recently setup my second wordpress blog (3.5.1), and this time I’m making use of pages – or trying to. After successfully adding three pages, I couldn’t add a fourth: in doing so, one of the other ones (last alphabetically, I believe) was deleted. That was a couple of days ago.

    Bizarrely, I logged in again today and was able to add a fourth page, but instead, the problem comes about when I try to add a fifth. Does anyone know what is going on? Some kind of incompatibility?

    There are no widgets and no plugins installed or activated, and it seems to be theme-independent. Any ideas what I can do?

    Possibly. Did you try adding pages after reverting to the default theme? If not, please try.

    Hi Krishna,
    I just tried again using twenty twelve, and, lo and behold, I was able to add one more page (but not two). Could this have to do with adding pages too rapidly, one after another?
