  • Hi syphlect,

Most likely Pages disappeared cause your customer removed some capabilities. Make sure that your Administrator role has “Edit Pages” capability checked.

I’m trying to figure out how to add the “Pages” capability to the Administrator role. Could you guide me with that please?

Edit: He does have “Edit Pages” capability checked and yet the Pages from the dashboard is missing.

Even deleting the extension doesn’t bring the “Pages” module back :/

    Hi syphlect,

Let’s start from the fact that deleting AAM or any AAM extension does not solve the problem. The set of capabilities has been manually modified and this what causes the issue. This has nothing to do with AAM.

Please take your time to read and understand what is WordPress Roles and Capabilities. I guaranty you that with that knowledge you will find out that with AAM you can do anything.

As quick reference. If “Edit Pages” capability is not in the list of capabilities, go to AAM Capabilities tab and click on “Create” button. In the modal popup enter “Edit Pages” and click “Add Capability”.

In case you have this capability already, then simply check it for Administrator role.

Also switch to your administrator user and check if “Edit Pages” capability is checked (with AAM you can uncheck any capability for user).

    Regards,

I’ve tried that and it still doesn’t work. I’ve tried entering the Page section address in the address bar and it says Access Denied. Could I give you the login information for my website and you could check it out?

Sure. Send me to [email protected]

    Thank you,
    Vasyl
