Pages instead of Posts on Home Page

  • Hello,

    I am trying to help a client setup their Gateway theme install. She would prefer to have pages as the 3 featured content items, as opposed to posts.

    The version of the theme listed here:

    https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/gateway/

    says this is possible. Is there a difference with the functionality of the theme that is available for self-hosted WordPress blogs? I have added a category function to function.php and selected ‘Featured’ when creating a test page to see if it will show up on the front home page, but it will not display the page, only posts.
