I have created a number of sitemaps, some with 1000’s of pages, some with only 99 pages. They have all been submitted on Google Search console. Some of the sitemaps have pages indexed, others don’t. But for new sitemaps, none of them are being indexed by Google at all, this seems to be a relatively recent issue over the last few months. I did not have this issue in August/September/November.

Can google tell these pages are created by your plugin and choosing to ignore them?

Please can you look into the above?

    Hi @thomaslilley,

Thanks for choosing MPG and sorry for the delayed reply!

Did anything change in your environment prior to noticing this issue? It may be caused by some kind of plugin conflict. You could install the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin, enable the troubleshooting mode which will deactivate all plugins and check if the issue persists. If the problem doesn’t occur anymore, it means it was indeed caused by a plugin conflict and you should reactivate the plugins one by one, until you find the culprit. Then, replace that plugin with an alternative one. I would suggest starting with the caching plugin, if you use one.

    I hope this helps!

    Have a nice day!

The plugin is operating fine. My question is in relation to Google and their attitude to pages created using plugins such as MPG. There have been a number of google updates over the last few months, of which I’m concerned have prevented the indexing of pages created using your plugin. Most of the pages we have created have been discovered but not indexed by Google. I am confident this is not related to the sheer volume as I have created a sitemap with only 99 pages, of which 0 of them have been indexed by Google, despite being discovered.

Can I ask, is Google aware of how these pages are generated and are you seeing an increase in indexing issues with pages generated with your plugin?

I encourage you to test this for yourself. Please submit a sitemap consisting of pages created with your plugin and see if any get indexed by Google.

    Hi @thomaslilley!

I’ve seen only one report related to indexing issues in recent weeks. The pages should be properly indexed, but in some cases indexing issues may appear and they can have many causes (content, link structure etc.). They are not necessarily related to MPG. Google has its own reasons for which it might refrain from indexing a discovered page. You could check this article that describes a few possible causes for indexing issues.

    I hope this helps!
