Coursepress did not create the pages that it states, and in the menu it shows 5 pages, none of which I can actually find…where are they?
Also, under general settings, it shows all the slugs we should be using…I’m guessing we need to create these pages, which is fine, but it shows my course would be under /courses/my-course, however for units, for example, it shows my URL/my-course/units…so it won’t find the course, since the courses parent page is left out…or will it? And all of the other slugs are under /my-course as well, leaving out the courses parent page.
    I’m very confused!

    Hi there @tsheridan,

    Hope you’re well today! ??

Make sure you have anything but default permalinks in your wp-admin > permalinks.

Then save the settings in wp-admin > CoursePress > settings.

The pages will then automatically be created, depending on your theme the pages may not automatically be added to your menu. You can add them in wp-admin > appearance > Menus.

    Units should be showing “https://www.yourdomain.com/my-course/units”

Here’s a screenshot of my URL structure https://monosnap.com/image/ZGJb0rI6r7ZpUs97EPhO66d052KPeY# (it only contains cp as my website is installed a directory called cp.

    We’re here to help. ??

    Thanks!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.

My permalinks setting is set to post-name, so not the default setting.
I’ve resaved the coursepress settings, but nothing is changing. It is not showing the pages in my Pages listing, but it is showing them in Appearance > Menus. How do I edit these pages, if they’re not listed when I go to Pages?

And Units shows as you mention above, but what I’m confused about is if the course URL is supposed to be /courses/my-course, shouldn’t the units URL be /courses/my-course/units?

How will it find that if /courses isn’t in the path?

Well bummer, this plugin is incompatible with my theme, it seems…it turns off my comments, among other things, so I think that was the issue with the page structure not being correct.
Too bad, I think this would have worked well for me ??

    Hi tshedidan,

    What theme are you using?

The course pages also aren’t WordPress pages, but custom posts. So you wont find them under ‘Pages’. However, if you want to add them to menus, go to Appearance -> Menus and then click top right and Screen Options.

You should see a checkbox next to CoursePress. Clicking it will give you more options for adding menu options to your site.

    Cheers,
    Rheinard
